Registration
and Fees
The Registration Fee of $25.00 is assessed annually
and is used to cover the costs of enrollment, insurance, music and
music licensing. For each additional family member, the fee will
be $20.00.
Costume fees will be charged when the costumes have
been ordered. This typically occurs in January or February. Payment
for costumes is due in full at that time. Once a costume has been
ordered, there will be no refund if the student drops the class
or does not attend the recital. Costumes typically cost between
$35 and $60.
In addition to recital costumes, other costs include
regulation dancewear for each class and recital tickets in June.
Recital tickets help defray the cost of the SWHS Auditorium rental,
the Stage Manager, the Lighting and Sound Technicians and studio
operating costs. Recital tickets (expected cost $15.00) may be purchased
from the office or at the auditorium. Dancers wishing to attend
the performance will need to purchase a ticket.
All fees, including May and June tuition and recital costumes,
must be paid by June 1st in order for the student to dance in the
recital.

For example, a dancer might pay for ballet / pointe, but could take
jazz for half price.

Special Pricing for classes < 1 hour:
30 minute Mommy & Me Gym $30/mo.
45 minute Wild Tigers $45/mo.
- Those classes having less than 36 meetings per year will receive
a coupon to try a free class. These coupons may be given as gifts.
Coupons may not be used to pay regular class tuition. Coupons
must be used prior to March 1, 2008. Monday classes will receive
two cards per missed class and Friday classes will receive one
card per missed class.
- Single class fee for drop-ins: $18.00.
- Classes are charged on a per class basis per student irrespective
of length.
- Adults (21+) receive a 10% discount.
- Seniors (65+) receive a 30% discount.
- Annual payment receives a 5% discount if paid by cash or check
only prior to Sept. 29th. Annual payment by credit card does not
receive a discount.
- Quarterly payments: We are no longer accepting quarterly payments.
- Monthly payments are due on the first of each month. If payment
has not been received by the tenth of the month, a $20.00 late
fee will be applied to the account per month.
- Island Dance does not send monthly billing statements.
- $30.00 will be charged for each NSF check.
- Payment may be by check, Visa, MasterCard or Cash. Cash payments
will be receipted and must be exact change. Please be sure to
keep your receipt in case it is necessary to document your payment.
Private & Semi-Private Lessons -
please arrange these through the office.
Regulations
If enrollment drops below six students, the class may be combined
with another or may be discontinued. If the class is discontinued,
tuition paid in advance will be refunded.
Refunds will not be issued for missed classes, except in unusual
circumstances such as an extended illness. Missed classes may be
made up in alternate classes of the same level or below by calling
the office for special placement.
The Studio Office must be notified prior to a missed class if
credit is requested.
Students may take a leave of absence (two weeks or more). Studio
must be notified in writing two weeks prior to the leave or tuition
will be charged.
NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING TWO WEEKS
IN ADVANCE; OTHERWISE, TUITION WILL BE DUE FOR THE NEXT MONTH. THIS
WRITTEN NOTICE MUST BE GIVEN TO THE OFFICE (NOT TO THE INSTRUCTOR).
Class Cancellations
Classes will be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions and
will not be refunded or rescheduled. This applies to snow days,
power outages or during any school closures. Students are welcome
to make up these classes - please see the office to make arrangements.
A recorded message will be left at the studio in these instances.
Dance classes will not be cancelled due to early release at the
schools. Classes cancelled by the instructor will be made up.

Misc. Info
Personal accident insurance is the responsibility of each student.
Island Dance, faculty and staff, will not be held responsible for
any injury or illness which occurs from attending classes at Island
Dance, Inc.
Island Dance is not responsible for personal property left in the
facility.
No street shoes or gum are allowed.
Photographs taken of students may be used for Island Dance promotion
and advertisement.
Gymnastics Birthday Parties!
We provide 90 minutes of gym time and games, with one balloon for
each person, followed by 30 minutes for cake and ice cream (not
provided by Island Dance and Gymnastics. The cost of $225.00 covers
up to 15 children.
